As an advocate of quality education, we believe in the power of knowledge and technology to change the world. In the wake of a global pandemic that has disrupted schooling for millions of students across the nation, there is a dire need to bridge the digital divide to ensure online learning can be easily accessible. To this end, we have sponsored laptops and broadband access as Chinese New Year gifts to orphanages. Access to digital learning tools is vital to young people – especially those who are at risk of being left behind – with meaningful opportunities for self-advancement.
Health and longevity hold a significant place in Chinese culture. During Chinese New Year celebrations, we help identify health concerns and risk factors among individuals who may not have access to preventive care, and we provide free health screenings and on-site consultation services in areas where modern healthcare facilities are lacking. We’ve donated dialysis machines worth some RM100,000 to dialysis clinics to help them continue their life-saving work of providing subsidised treatments to patients battling kidney failures.
